Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes“Jesus is not God.”
Are you believing this lie?
It is shocking that there are certain doctrines, like the one of the Jehovah’s witnesses, who claim that this belief is Christianity. Here is the passage that debunks that myth:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ~John 1:1 KJV
We find out that Jesus is the Word of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ~John 1:14 KJV
Immediately after this scripture, we see that it was John the Baptist who witnessed Him in the flesh who is the Word; Jesus Christ our Lord.
John bare witness of Him, and cried, saying, “This was He of whom I spake, ‘He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for He was before me.’” ~John 1:15 KJV
A man once argued with me about Jesus not being God and even quoted that “no man hath seen God at any time.” This is the scripture where that came from,
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.” ~John 1:18 KJV
Notice that this scripture is straight up telling us that God declared Jesus as God. Even the NIV got this interpretation right.
“No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made Him known.” ~John 1:18 NIV
Isaiah also prophesied of Him,
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ~Isaiah 9:6 KJV
If you can’t believe the Word and Isaiah, well there’s a problem.
Jesus is God. He is also the Son of God, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Author and Finisher, the Beginning and the End. He is the Lord of all.
