25 Days of Christmas Devotionals Day 9Jesus spent time with His disciples on the night that Judas betrayed Him. He filled a basin with water and began to wash their feet.

Of course when Peter saw this, he was dismayed because his own Master humbled Himself and served him.

Jesus said to him,

“Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.” ~John 13:13-14 KJV

Do you wash the feet of the people in the body of Christ; do you physically care for them? Or do you wait for them to care for you?

The holiday season is a great time to practice serving your spiritual family rather than just family. If you have quick ideas on how to better care for your spiritual family both online and off, post a comment.
