Wrong Verses Right: John 8:7 KJV
So when they continued asking Him, He lifted up Himself, and said unto them, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” ~John 8:7 KJV
Wrong Interpretation:
Christians use this scripture to pardon or protect Christians who have sinned.
Right Interpretation:
Jesus was talking to the hypocrites. They were sinners not adhering to their own teachings and yet, judging the Jewish woman caught in adultery. Remember, you are not allowed to judge if you are a hypocrite.
Moreover, a Christian who is saved is not pardoned for sinning, but cast out of the body of Christ until they learn not to blaspheme and they learn to repent. This is because the people of God do not sin.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. ~ 1 John 3:9 KJV
Jesus did not judge this woman because she was not saved, not “born of God,” but he told her to stop sinning.
[10] When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, “Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?” [11] She said, “No man, Lord.” And Jesus said unto her, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” ~John 8:10-11 KJV
