Modesty Minute: Face It

Estimated Reading Time: 1 minute

The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. This means that God wants to put His Holy Spirit inside of us and dwell in us. What kind of temple should we present to Him? Should we slather our faces with makeup, false eyelashes, and pop circle lenses in our eyes? Should we copy that famous, worldly girl’s look that shows up on the cover of teen mags, commercials, and gossip blogs?

What if we flat out rejected the world’s definition of pretty and went for God’s definition.

[9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. ~1 Timothy 2:9-10 KJV

What if we cleansed our faces of all that stuff, which is probably seeping into pores and causing cancer, and just put on the face of a God-fearing girl?
