A woman who was listening to Jesus in a crowd cried out,

“… ‘Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.’” ~Luke 11:27 KJV

Who carried Jesus in her womb? Who nursed Him? Of course, we know it was Mary. Among some people today, Mary is highly regarded as being the most blessed woman in the world.25 Days of Christmas Devotionals Day 15

True; she was highly blessed.

However, look at what Mary’s own Son, Jesus Christ the Son of God and Savior of the world, tells the woman,

“… ‘Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.’” ~Luke 11:28 KJV
